Tell me what you expect from the top Servant in the State.

I expect the top state servant of Texas should have a respectable background. I believe that the "future governor" should have a COLLEGE EDUCATION. How will there be no electric bill? Are you going to take away those jobs too? Are you going to cut off our water just to have no water bill either? How will will have sewage if no one pays for it? How is the national guard going to be funded? Do you know anything about politics at all? Why would I vote for any man or woman with a huge background in secondhand jobs and topless/nude bars? You are a disgrace. All you have are ideas. The state of Texas is not going to vote for you. Veteran to veteran, you are a fool. You don't even understand politics. health care is a federal issue, not state. How will we fund schools with no taxes on water and electricity bills? One answer, you will RAISE them. You will put us more in debt than President Obama. you said "I believe that in a free society, a sane adult (21 and over) should be able to make decisions for their own actions even if it is a dangerous or stupid decision. They should be able to ride motorcycles without helmets, not have to wear a seat belt, be able to drink or use drugs in their own home, all without Government or Law Enforcement intervention or regulation. As long as an action by a person affects only themselves or another sane adult that chooses to be affected, the law has no place in their private business."

You are worse than death. Drugs kill. I am a combat medic. Seat belts saved my life. Drugs are illegal as a FEDERAL LAW, not state. The law is to protect. And you sir are a disgrace to Houston [my hometown] and should stop wasting time and money. Go home and get a job and a haircut.

Wow, hi Chris, I can tell your rhetoric anywhere.  This is a perfect example of one of the problems facing this country and this State, too many people, especially those "in charge",  talk and act from assumptions and perceptions, they don't research and use facts or truth.

From your opening statement, you are being hypocritical.  I am the ONLY Candidate that is pushing for "mandatory Associates Degree" level education, HELLO...that is College education.  If you would have read my Education page, you would have seen that the proceeds from the Public Works projects go to pay for this.  Texas does not have Income Tax, it makes its money from Sales Tax, fees, and fines.  By removing costs from one area, we free up money that is already available for other projects.  Taxes on Electricity are not so exorbitant as to cause a system melt-down if we don't collect them.  And finally, under my system people like me wouldn't exist, so your ultimate wish of a world comprised of College educated people only, would actually be a reality.  If you are so one-track minded for this, I AM YOUR CANDIDATE, no other Candidate is pushing for anything even close to my Plan!

If you had actually read my proposals instead of just trying to find ways to knock them down, you would realize that a State funded project leaves ownership of the Electric Company in State hands, the State is another word for the People of Texas, or at least how I would run it. You already pay, in taxes, for the electricity that the Government offices, etc., use. The taxes you pay would be enough to offset maintenance costs for the Texas Power Grid, which after construction would be the only cost incurred. As I stated, most Texans would be served by Community and Individual power systems, and the excess sold to our neighbors, again generating income to cover Health Care and Education projects, for example.  By reducing costs to Texans, we put more money in their pocket, that generates more spending, which in turn creates businesses, jobs, and consumerism, all of which increase the Tax Base.

I have stated several times on virtually every page how important education is to solve the problems, many successful company heads and Presidents, let's take Abraham Lincoln for example, were not college educated. Obviously it worked so well for you, but I learn in a different manner, I like to go to the source, not hear the watered down version from a teacher with an agenda. And did you learn all this anger and hatred you spout at a college, if so I'm glad I didn't go to your school.

You live in a country that your "respectable", "College Educated", "short hair" Politicians have taken our money to pay the very people that have bankrupted our country. Your "first hand" job holding people have made sure they eat the best cuts while giving the people the crumbs, and corrupted Capitalism, Business Ethics and practices, the Law, and our Constitutional Rights.

Maybe you think 24 years of self-employment in SEVERAL fields, not just "titty bars" is ""second hand" to selling Perfume in a mall, but, I can build a house, put in all the electrical, plumbing, doors, windows, shingle the roof, then trick out the yard with an awesome assortment of landscape projects, by myself.  And, thanks for insulting virtually every hard working American and Texan.

Almost no one still endorses the "War on Drugs" as a successful or efficient way to handle use or addiction, including many of those that have fought on the front lines of this war. But, it's an awesome way to criminalize and lock up more people than ANY dictatorship in the world (in Texas alone). The war has cost so much money and killed so many good people, and still drugs exist, more pure, more plentiful, and cheaper than ever before, maybe there might be a solution that actually works we could try. I never said to legalize any drug for personal use, just medicinal. After alcohol, prescription drugs are the most abused substances in America, should we turn them all into Schedule 1 drugs too? Maybe we should let people suffer and die just to stop a small portion of our population from abusing drugs.

"Texas budgeted $27 billion dollars in health care spending for the 2008-2009 biennium, of which 42.6 percent comes from State Funds and 48.4 percent comes from Federal Funds (9 percent comes from “Other Funds”)... It is important to note that while Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) are often referred to as the main sources of state health spending, a large proportion also goes towards health care plans for state employees, university students, prisoners, and a number of other recipients of state-mandated health insurance. At the local level we also pay taxes that go towards our health districts, health care for local public employees such as teachers and other school district employees, as well as the County Indigent Health Program. Health Care, in part, is funded by federal money from State taxes, there are several Organizations, Funds, and Trusts that fund different areas, as well. But in the final analysis, it is controlled by the State once the money is their hands. The State also uses a share of State money to pay for different aspects of medical costs and it controls the Medicaid and Medicare Disbursements and Insurance Companies and their rates. If you would have bothered to read all the Data and check my sources, you would know about the Health Care situation.

I will not rehash my entire plan here, though it is obvious that you didn't read it, you just scanned it and picked it apart. As a Combat Medic, seat belt fatalities and Drug Deaths are not your forte, but in a free society, no one has the right to decide for me what is best. I do not argue that seat belts save lives, I argue that you cannot impose a law upon the people "for their own good", as we have seen with our new administration, it opens a door for much worse things to come through. Unlike you, I am a Constitutional American that believes in Freedom of People's Choice, not Dictatorial Laws. As a fellow Vet, I would have thought you understood the oath to protect the Constitution, sorry for assuming.

You, obviously, are extremely happy that our country is headed down the path to Tyranny. Your statements make it sound as if you agree with forcing people to do what you want, regardless of their Rights. I will serve you as Governor, as I will serve everyone, but I will never agree with your ideology.

I understand that a lot of what I propose is radically different than what you're used to, or what people have been led to believe is the only way.  Read my sources, learn the truth, which I assure you, you didn't learn in College, then make an EDUCATED decision, not a knee-jerk one.

At least you responded, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart, and, your Dad is really kewl.

I think ur views are valid and should materialize if you become a governor of the great state of Texas.... I think its time for a revolution in state politics. I for 1 am tired of illegal immigrants depleting our economic and natural resources....its high time that we make the wrong things right....if that means we have a non-college educated man with unorthodox ideas, so be it. So I support you....and yes to everybody else I'm Hispanic with ties to Houston, my great-grandfather and many members on both sides of my family have lived in Houston for many generations so I believe all illegal immigrants from Mexico and Canada and everywhere else should adhere to plans derived from what everybody else is afraid to say and "get with the program" so to speak...

Thank you Freddie for your comments.

It is high time that We the People take control of our political system and our politicians.  Something must be done to enforce our Immigration Laws and alleviate the present financial burden of the illegal immigrants.

You also signed the Guestbook and made a comment about my position on Illegal Immigration and my statement on how America and Mexico should be one country.  I did not mean to infer that it be done by force of any kind.  It is an idea that I think is viable and beneficial to both countries.  I would like to see it being discussed and studies and then plans presented that could be utilized should the people of both countries decide it is their wish.
