Please check out the Falconist Party, a new political party that combines the ideas of the right and the left to take America neither right, nor left, but up. We believe you would be in accord with much of what our party proposes and that you and the Falconist Party can work to rebuild Texas and America |

Thanks for the support and signing in, Shea.
The Civil Servants I was referring to on the Mandatory Exc. Program were the State level, non-Law Enforcement, they already have their own program. Basically the desk-jockeys.
Everyone benefits from exercise, especially those that already have conditions that affect their health, and before anyone says it, any Civ Serv not physically able to exercise wouldn't be forced to. This is to help them not harm them, while reducing costs and raising efficiency. If this plan should be implemented, I would speak with the Ins Co's and try to broker cheaper rates due to less cost for them.
I didn't even think about Genetically Modified foods. If they want to experiment with DNA, go ahead, learn all you can. I have a severe problem with them putting it out onto the wild, even more so for serving it to us. A Genetically Modofied potato turned out to stunt children's growth. The GM Hybrid Corn was being grown outdoors near non-modified corn. The pollen from the GM corm got into the regular corn and made the cop inedible to Humans. We've come a long way with Genetic Engineering, but we are just starting out, this is not something that should be rushed to market.
Well, I'm a salt lover, skinny guy, low blood pressure, it isn't an issue for me. An exercise program can be part of the job description, it isn't taking a right or action away. To demand all Civ Serv go smoke free, denies an action, so does demanding salt to be regulated. They say we have a market that goes by the consumer's demand, if enough people want salt to be controlled, they will demand it. Education and Nutrition Labels will do more to control salt then laws or regulations will.
My entire site is rife with demanding the people's right over the Military-Industrialized Complex control that is America today. Didn't Eisenhower warn us about this? I, of coarse, embrace plans and ideas that make Texas self-sufficient and self-reliant, that bring jobs and business back into the state. Thomas Jefferson said we should always be an agriculturally based society, when people are hungry, they can't work and they can't fight. Many a war was won by simply starving the city out.
I hope to hear from you again, Shea. Feel free to start a topic on the Forum's for your idea. Thanks again. |

While I agree with you on many issues, I would like to add a few thoughts of my own.
1. Mandating a specific hour of exercise for all law enforcement officers will not work, it would quickly become known as "crime time".
2. Many people are over weight due to genetics or disabilities that cannot be exercised or medicated away. Many are denied coverage under the preexisting condition rules or charged rates that are astronomical and well beyond their means of affordability. (No, I am not one of them, but I know several personally.)
3. Banning the growth and sale of all genetically modified foods (and products containing them) in the state of Texas should be the first order of business in any state wide health care plan. (I didn't see anything about GM foods in your agenda, maybe I just missed it. If you don't know about their dangers, please research it.)
4. Demand a lower sodium content in processed foods in Texas. This is prime cause of many health issues. As we age the effects of a lifetime of high sodium become apparent and the damage has been done.
5. If Texans can't get the healthy products from present day food producers, we should grow and produce our own. It would not only give us healthier foods but create a growth in our economy (new jobs for Texans).
6. Protect the rights of Texas' small farms and communities by keeping big government regulations out of their gardens and farmer markets. Problems that arise in these areas are quickly identified and remedied on a local level, big government regulations are neither needed or desired. |

Thank you very much, Jim.
Yes, I think that I can wade through the Bureaucratic, Red-Tape nightmare that has all but annihilated our Political System.
The precedent has been set, it is mandatory for Military and Law Enforcement Personnel to exercise. Many Health insurers charge a 25% premium on smokers and several are starting to charge that for those that are over-weight. This idea is not to control or punish, it is for the benefit of the people. All the pay and benefits for our Civil Servants comes from the people, would you rather pay these Servants 25% extra on their premiums or make them exercise?
There are more obese people in America than anywhere else in the world, 30.6% of us, and obesity has become the #1 cause of illness. Not only does it cost the Tax Payer more in insurance, it results in lowered productivity and more days lost to sick leave. The people are picking up the tab, so it is incumbent upon us to insure that every dollar is well spent.
It is not a freedom issue, but an issue of responsibility, your Servants are responsible to you, why should you foot the bill for their personal choice? With our country in the financial state it is in, every possible measure to cut cost and make the government more efficient should be utilized. This idea decreases Health Care costs to the Tax Payer and raises the productivity of Civil Servants, while costing virtually nothing.
Let the People decide. I will present the argument and the supporting evidence for my proposition, but I am not going to force an issue that the People do not want. I will stand by the majority decision.
I have started a Forum Topic on this, join in the debate!
Thank you again, Jim. If you have any more questions please feel free to post here or in the Forums. |

Les, I like the attitude. Do you think you can really interpret all the laws and ordinances that have have turned the simplest of procedures into a government debacle? I do have to disagree with one thing I've read on your site though. To make physical fitness mandatory for Texas representatives. I believe in order to be free, you have to allow others to be free. Even representatives are people and should make that choice if they so choose for their own personal well being. Other than that, GOOD LUCK!

Thank you Freddie for your comments.
It is high time that We the People take control of our political system and our politicians. Something must be done to enforce our Immigration Laws and alleviate the present financial burden of the illegal immigrants.
You also signed the Guestbook and made a comment about my position on Illegal Immigration and my statement on how America and Mexico should be one country. I did not mean to infer that it be done by force of any kind. It is an idea that I think is viable and beneficial to both countries. I would like to see it being discussed and studies and then plans presented that could be utilized should the people of both countries decide it is their wish.
Continue to visit so that you can be kept up-to-date.
Have a good and safe New Year. |

Great job on your website....your views are pretty well thought out. I hope u succeed in this endeavor and I support you and your cause.... However if we are to make Mexico appart of the U.S. wouldn't it call for a revolution....and it might be violent given the fact that America isn't well liked by many other nations including Mexico... |

Exactly Amber, a Public servant serves the people under their jurisdiction, that means the Texas Governor serves almost 30 million. If our Politicians would remember this fact, this State and our Country would be doing a lot better than we are now.
Before the "Hippie" era, "Long Hair" was a term used to denote people that were cultured and educated, Philosophers, poets, scientist, composers, and prophets were all noted for their long hair. I am a Long Hair not a Hippie. If the best you can throw is that, than I accept it as a compliment and revel in the company you have aligned me with.
Socrates, Leonardo Da Vinci, Copernicus, Newton, Thomas Jefferson, Albert Einstein, and Jesus Christ all had long hair. Adolf Hitler, Stalin, Jeffery Dahmer, Edi Amen, all the CEO's and Wall Street Tycoons that caused the "Economic Downturn", as well as, the very Politicians that have never truly served their constituents, all have short hair.
Where is the insult? |

your website looks and reads like you are trying to be all things to everyone, and ya need a haircut. |
